Black with 35K on the clock.

Pricey at £16,495, but I guess someone will be up for a genuine car with low miles...

I looked at the ad I would have cleaned up the engine bay a bit . Always amazes me when people look to sell the state of some of those engine bays. makes me wonder if they can't be bothered with that what else can't they be bothered with?. And I hate cleaning with a passion.

Does anyone really care about a genuine VXR500 now?

It's double-edged since some people see a clean engine bay as a sign that something has gone pop and the cleaning is to hide the spill.

Not sure about the pricing. I can't actually remember seeing another 500 selling.

Wonder what the 6k at monkfish was...? Suspension work at least.

If a car has a clean engine bay I think it's been a well looked after car, if it's been steam washed which you can easily tell, would not be on my list of cars to buy, a very dirty and corroded bare metal parts engine bay, not a looked after car either and if I'm looking for a keeper I would walk away from any car that's crap under the bonnet.

Nobody was that fussed a few years ago, has that changed? They had the 112 and no I/C didn't they? Then there were all the run-on ones that were made afterwards. Have they had a resurgence?

I still think a good VXR500 will always command a higher price for what it is.

For that money you could get a vxr monaro with some good mods

It's the originality that probably keep the price up regardless of power

An clean engine bay would be on the very bottom of my list of things to look out for when buying a car !!

Seems a bargain to me at that price, I thought VXR500's were commanding nearer £20k?

No love at all gone into the advert, 4 lines long for a VXR500 - that and the grotty engine bay would be setting alarm bells ringing for me personally. Pity.
