Putting in a Cam. Do you need to....

Aren't those specs not far off being the same as the BTR stage 3 cam
There could still be different valve timing with it....but the numbers are also same as EPP/Brutespeed cam too. It's a well used set of numbers, I used the EPP one myself for a time. No real complaints about it, just wasnt quite as smooth at idle for me was only reason I changed it.
But with so many having similar numbers, you know it will work well.

Replace the lifters. While the engine is apart it seems sensible to swap the cam out. But do I need to do the lifters? It's quite an added cost if not a must right now.
The engine is getting a bottom end rebuild next year and was going to do that then is sensible.
Personally id leave the cam until I do the bottom end as well. Forget this opening multiple times lark. If im going to open a motor, ill go all in. The engine is getting a bottom end rebuild next year and was going to do that then is sensible.
Doing a bit at a time is not a good way of spending the monies. Building it once, properly,is.

I get that but heads are coming off anyway. So it's not much more work really. It's not like these engines are a pain to work in. Doing a bit at a time is not a good way of spending the monies. Building it once, properly,is.
Also if I get delayed in the bottom end least this is done.
