Apparently it's to "ease traffic flow". My arse it is, more like a money making scheme.

I collected my new Monaro in 2006 from Greens of Rainham (renowned for adding Wortec stuff and re-maps).
Caspy, the Dealer Principal suggested I try the tunnel to appreciate the Wortec cat-back and the square tunnel shape should enhance the experience.
So I did
Just had to come back through the other way to enjoy it some more
