So this weekend I have been fitting my cam and heads. All has gone reasonably well.

Few issues but not cam related.

Where can I get steam port gaskets?
Also a new ECT sensor?

Also any wise men able to comment on there thought on the swipe pattern. I think this is good just slightly off to the intake side?

All fitted up.

It's not that small!

And it was not the first first start. it did have a 2 sec run befor but had to bail out after a small coolant issue.

That was my assumption. its for my centri so to close would be performance prohibitive. I haven't even changed my current map yet and it runs ok.

Nice wonder what it will do to boost pressure... probably drop it a tad.

Well that's the interesting question.

it should drop for a few reasons. less restriction flow at the top end for starters with new heads and intake and the longer duration and higher lift.

But it might also keep temp down not forcing so much so more air in.

The overlap is minor and should still hold most boost at peak but will drop. but more clean air in it should add to the power.
So many variables.
But this is what the corvette boys are all running on there LS6 Centri engines with good results. and similar spec to other centri cams.

Its going to be very interesting to see how it performs on the road and rollers.

Ha ha ha. I'm hoping for over 525 at the rear. Anything higher is great. Really I want 550. But we will see. The intake and heads will help as it makes it an LS6.

Vettes are in the 500 -550 + mark.

But just running smooth and well for now!
