Newbie Say's Hello!
Discussion
Well, I picked it up from James last Saturday and have now put circa 400 miles on it over the week....so it now has all of 15,490 miles on the clock! Epic. Loving it. What a hoot. Smiling at the puzzled looks on the faces of peeps mouthing "what the f**K was that"...Also thumbs up from a biker as he came alongside...very nice indeed.
Have just had those terribly nice people at Blackboot's in Chesham check and adjust the geo on it. Next job is to get the drivers bolster repaired by Dave the Trimmer.
Pictures will follow. Reg no DG55TUN and it's in Phantom Black...anyone know of the car?

Tony. Looks as lovely as when you drove off in it last weekend. Glad it's gone to a good home. That is one of the best examples I have ever had.... FYI - It was never owned by anyone on here (since 2007 anyway) as 2 previous owners knew nothing of this mad house. Although the car is known by Monkfis as previous owner had 2 Monaros in the family and used Monkfish
Enjoy it ..........
By way of an update, the motor is just coming back from having a little paintwork done....scuff under front splitter and bonnet respray. Next week it's off to Dave the Trimmer to repair the drivers seat - I have managed to get a new foam seat base which is good and have also replaced the plastic trim in the boot which had a few scuffs....my OCD is alive and well!
For those of you who like trivia...as all of you know, the Monaro is known as the HSV Coupe in Auz ...however do you know who the designers were? Neil Simpson did the changes to turn a Holden Monaro into the HSV Coupe and Peter Hughes and Mike Simcoe at Holden worked on the original car. The wheels were designed by a certain Mr Julian Quincey. Who say's PH isn't educational!

My black VXR is very, very slow.
The red one wasn't though. So, red ones go faster.
Monaro now with Dave the Trimmer for the repair to the seat and side bolster. I also got hold of a new foam seat base which Dave is going to use...even with such a low mile car, I thought I would get this replaced at the same time...'like new' firm drivers seat awaits!
Incidentally, Dave told me he had an orange Monaro in for some headlining work recently...it had an after-market sun roof fitted...anyone know this motor?
After Dave, it's off to Monkfish for some bits and bobs....
