So, after a week of using my Monaro, in mixed conditions, I feel that it is in need of some inprovement to the forwards lighting.

My last 3 cars have had OEM Bi-Xenons, so going back to some Halogens makes the outputs seem a bit dull.

What have others done in terms of upgrading the headlights, if anything?
Any bulb/conversion recommendations?

Take it to an MOT place and have the headlights adjusted to as high as you can go. You will find, unless adjusted, they point at the floor!

Have a search for threads posted by Sohlman, he fitted LED's to his VXR and was very pleased with the results

I fitted HID lights, as have several others, big improvement on the originals and better than the LED lights I tried.

The LEDs came from here: http://www.horizonleds.co.uk/exterior-leds/cree-le...

Can't remember on the HIDs, they're the cheapish ones everyone seems to use. These things constantly seem to be improving, so best to find whatever colour temperature you want and work out if you want HIDs or LEDs. The HIDs will probably have you drilling holes in your headlight caps, and for the LEDs I've been printing larger caps to fit the ballasts inside.
