Hello All,
Did pose a question previously on here and was told that it didn't exist without photos, good tradition to adhere to. Well, a couple of months after picking the car up have eventually managed to take some photos.
Really enjoying Aston ownership after a couple of years of searching for the right car, originally fancied a DB9 as an upgrade to the previous XKR but became smitten with a Vantage as fancied something a little more lithe... enjoying all it's thrills and foibles and can't help but see a V12 on the future horizon :-)...

Welcome, what a beauty! Sport pack wheels really suit the Vantage IMO. Good work.

Tis indeed a bit of Chancellor red trim kicking around, liked the contrast with the black bodywork and the match with the red calipers.. piano black on the console just to keep things matching along...

Love it but that number plate plinth has to go. Love the black with red interior.

Thanks J12KJR, krisdelta and V8V Pete..definitely nice to catch some autumnal sun with the top down. Looking decent out there today too so prob going for a run around Snowdonia this aft(I live in NorthWales) a good mountain blast seems the order of the day :-).
Yep, I know I'm still plinthy-boy, a good job in the offing for a rainy afternoon...

Congrats and welcome! Beautiful ride. What do you think of if compared to the XKR? I came a similar route.....

Thanks and 'Hello' 12pack :-).

I really liked the XKR, it was super easy to drive, lovely and comfortable on long journeys and nicely quick too. It was a shame to see it go really but I'd always fancied an Aston, the Aston is just such a nice place to be, a lot more nimble and involving than the XK... and that sound is stupid grin inducing everytime.
I did toy with an F-Type as you could more less get a year or two old one for similar money but it just didn't feel as special and I'm really glad I stuck with my heart and went down the Aston route.
Similar thoughts from your side on the differences between the two?

Yes indeed very similar impressions. And as you said if you eventually need to scratch that torque itch, the V12's are still dropping a bit in pricesmile

The V12 fund has started gently already but for now I'm than happy with my 'little' V8 :-)

Looks a great colour combo and like the red interior. Think the sports pack wheels really suit the Vantage.

When you get the chance lose the front plinth as the car looks so much better without it plus you can make the plate a bit smaller - and still remain legal. Any excuse to post one of mine!!!!

However, you could leave it on as a parking aid getmecoat

Thanks Ian, my original plan was for a Tungsten silver but when I saw this one all the bits just seemed to sit together well so it was a done deal.

Don't worry the plinths days are numbered, do think they look better without them and will rely on the sensors to assist with my dodgy parking. Yours look very nice by the way and the shorter plate is definitely a good way of revealing a little bit more Vantage ;-)
