No but anybody who cant be bothered putting up a decent effort to sell a car is either stupid or hiding something especially such a specialist/rare car. One to be avoided for me mate

Ordinarily I'd agree with the above, but I bought my Monaro from a very poor eBay listing and although it had some niggles it turned out to be a very good buy.

The guy selling my car had spent over £10k in the previous 12 months (with receipts for everything). He was an older guy (not mega savvy with the internet) and wasn't really rushing to sell the car so didn't go to any trouble to create a good listing. He called me so long after I'd originally tried to contact him I didn't even know which car he was calling about, but it was only 30 minutes away so I arranged to take a look.

In summary - if it's not too far and you know what you're looking for, go take a look.

If you don't know much about Monaros, I would suggest buying from one of the known specialist dealers to avoid the lemons and other potential pitfalls.

As Jan says. poor advert doesnt mean a poor car but seems wierd to put no effort in

for the OP I saw the car about 3 yrs ago when the guy that did all the miles (110k) was selling it as it was only in fleet nr me. it was around £7,000 then, requiring a little TLC but had good history then.

not seen it since then but has been advertised for around £12k last yr a few times. don't know if its the same seller as now

cant quite work out why you would register it in Guernsey and then try to sell it back to the UK mainland where its likely to sell and someone will need to re-register. talk about making it more hard work

Why bother with one in Guernsey?. possible vat fees? import cost of getting it here etc. Plenty in the UK. Always buy one from someone who knows you know where they live!! usually much less chance of being ripped off then.
