I know some of you run throughout the winter but as the Ute and GTSR are stored for the snowy period I bought a run around.....

I'm also thinking of doing this. I imagine the savings on petrol alone will pay for the car! laugh

1.5 engine, 107 bhp, gets to 60 in around 8.5 secs, hoot to drive all for £700 notes.

About the same performance as my Nova Sport way back in 1986 but mine was only a 1.3 - maybe the twin 40's helped though wink
It was set up at Bill Blydensteins at Shepreth after running-in on the single carb from new - all part of the Vauxhall package.
so after 30 years of development, yours has gained a 0.1 second faster 0-60mph but taken 200cc extra to get it. No substitute for cubic inches eh? biggrin
It's still alive in the West Midlands after a second restoration.
And here I am still 'stuck' with a 'Vauxhall' (VXR8) 30 years later...
Is that what they call progress? hehe

Nought wrong with a Nova. My first car and I've had several since. I never went far with them - some people I knew had C20LETs in them. Nutters. Great little cars; scary to think my Viva is probably bigger :O

Love the nova.....they are quick with a C20XE, so a C20LET would make them fly.

Hey Hammo, how about an LS3 powered Ignis? Now that'd be more amusing than that 525hp LS powered MX5 biggrin

And quad exit pipes would look so good on it... driving

Just remind yourself it's a winter runaround, not a winter project. nono
