Strewth! What a gathering. Nice to see some proper old school Aussie motors like the Valiant, XB Falcon, Kingswood and the HQ as well as all the regular metal.

The early HQ Monaro was in my eyes the star of the day

That was a cracker. Any idea what the motor was? I noticed the big Tacho and Chevy logo twin exhausts but he was just leaving at the time. I imagine a hot 350 or 400ci SBC. Pity it wasn't a 2-door - I just love 'em. Looked for one when living in Sydney but were out of my price range for a decent one - ended up with the HJ instead...

Yeah, I'll go with that. Not seen any old classics since I left Sydney in 1990 - brought back many memories...

Cheers Kev, I suspected as much but you never know. Gutted I didn't get a chance to talk to the owner. My Neighbour in Sydney had a hot 400ci in his - day before he was going to drive to Perth he left half the tyres between two lamp posts in Allawah thumbup
