Found this. Build date July 2001. Registered April 2002.

After looking back just one correction, mileage at sale was 65k so not many miles in the last 3 years.
Lovely car when you had it Chris, I would have liked to have owned that one. When was the bonnet changed?

When MF did the Supercharger - must be at least 7 years ago, the attached picture was taken in 2010.

The current owner has kept this car immaculate in the time he has had it, cherished in the garage, he has the original wheels also.

The clutch was changed, as he is anal about it and thought it was slipping, it wasn't but he still changed it anyway, apart from the change of wheels it's as it was when he bought it.

I don't think Chris blacked out the rear windows. (Although I accept stuff like this is subjective)

I wonder if it sold?

yeah he also got the tints put on, he also had to change a belt, and its been serviced etc iirc

no it didn't sell, he needs about 15 back for it which is substantially less than he paid for it 3 years ago.

Its up in the classifieds for £15k

Seems a bit steep for 716000 miles though !!!!

When did anyone ever not loose money on a car? It will get what someone else is prepared pay for it, not what the owner thinks its worth. Either that or you keep hold of it.

Lovely car though. I'd like to own it.

Haven't you got several Holdens, HSVs and Vauxhall derivatives already Gareth? Surely one more won't hurt?

Buy it. Buy it. Buy it.

I dont know which of us is worse, you've still got quite a collection Andrew.

Its a great car, but I know what its worth to me....... and the current owner wouldn't sell for that.

Thats a lot of miles ?

For interest.
The engine did have a complete rebuild at 54000 miles + forged pistons.
When Gavin did the diff a 6.0 VXR prop was fitted as well as the dual fuel pumps and a 90mm throttle body.

As a separate note for some reason the throttle body change eliminated the inherent droning at 1800rpm.

And I didn't do the windows.

Mileage is 71600, so he has covered 6.5k in 3 years.

I appreciate he will lose money on this car, but then i think he now knows how much overpriced it was when he bought it, tho 600HP cars dont come cheap.

But as you say he was willing to pay that amount so its his problem what he loses.

Original wheels will not be sold, unless its for 15k which will include a free car

I have told him to keep it tho, as looking at the build 001, this is far superior in everyway to that one.

Can unique cars be overpriced? I guess your friend was happy enough when he bought it or he would have walked.

And this is so true. When you see Monaros with similar power pushing past the £15k mark and high power VXR8s over £20k then IMHO someone will want this at £15k, you mate just needs to wait for someone like him to find the advert. smile
