Cool..
What was the torque like?
Also - is this at the lower boost figure.. you were going to get boost raised further weren't you..?

Nice one Will, I'd imagine that with your suspension mods. etc. this amount of bhp & torque must be lovely on the road.
If/when I can open my car & fit a new battery, I'll get up to LSV soon & get my car dynoed. Interested to see if It's improved or not.

Very funny Eric, woos indeed, would rather keep it to be a reliable car than 636 brake with the car falling apart thereafter...

Why are there 2 lines ? and why dont they do it with an rpm scaling. Makes things easier to read.

Do you have the comparative torque graph or figures ?

Interesting that you get that sort of power with 8psi boost when my car is running 14psi.. I am more interesed in torque but am curious how you get more power with less boost..?

Greg, my engine has been a project for some time with LSV, the oroginal block was producing 450 brake & 500 foot poiunds at the hubs when ukhsv sorted the fueling at Abbey Motorsport, then it produced 500 brake & 700 foot pounds before the core plug was blown out at LSV dyno. Now with new block and a lowered compression ratio (8.5:1) mated to forged pistons & con rods it should last with a smooth tune. LSV could no doubt produce 670 brake and 600 foot pounds (I have a dyno sheet to prove it)but with without reliability.

IIRC, Pomona used a completely different type of S/Charger. I can't tell you the differences, because I don't know. But the one in your car Greg may run @ higher PSI.
Sorry for being so mechanically inept!

The twin screw Whipple is more efficient, mostly at lower rpm's etc as it can produce instant boost. So it will produce more torque.

Outright power wouldnt be that much different between a centrifugal blower and a twin screw, although that would also depend on size of CF blower.

Some of the HP numbers that have been recorded here dont make a lot of sense to me when comparing to what guys in the US, and Oz are making with similar setups.

Based on the other thread relating to temp probe, as the IT is much higher than AT, does this mean the RR will have overstated the power figure? Seems very high by comparison, or has Stu's armpit been hired out again.....

Good idea. STP corrected numbers would be good.
How about some nice 1/4 mile track numbers, that will sort everyone out.
Hey an offical hsv/holden/monaro track day anyone?

1/4 mile more open to failings in technique......

Engines out and on bench dyno only way

Dynos also have their failings.

Using 1/4 mile ET's is flawed for estimating HP. However, using terminal speeds and vehicle weight is usually a pretty reliable method.

You can still have a crap launch, but run consistent terminal speeds, which is the real indicator of power.

A Dyno is in reality nothing more than a tuning tool, it's on the track and road where it really matters so I agree we need some 1/4 mile numbers to sort the men from the boys!

I'd be up for that...
Mind you, quarter mile.. that's not very long really. Fluff one gear change and you've had it..
