Jagsy's Geordie Jaunt - the way'aye cruise
Discussion
As some of you know I will be leaving these shores in the not too distant future. To celebrate (in more ways than one) Lynne, Dan and I would love you all to join A BIG CRUISE up ere in the north.
The cruise will be open to all vehicles, but I would love to see a large gathering of HSV, Holden and Monaro in the line up.
Don't worry you won't need a passport, or special jabs, its just a tank of juice from the south. Just jump on the A1, M1 or M6 and you'll find the glowing light in the north.
Details will be arrnaged nearer the time, but the basic plan is:
> Saturday day - cruise in Northumberland
> Saturday tea - pizza on the quayside (family friendly)
> Saturday night - drink on the toon (if you want)
> Sunday morning (if fit) - cruise into Yorkshire to say farewell for those who are travelling south.
For those making the long distances and can make a long weekend, try and come up on the Friday night and go home Monday, well worth it just to go out in Newcastle on a couple of nights
I already have a flier with hotel details, just let me know if you want it emailing.
The cruise weekend is (thanks Andy!!!) 18 and 19 March 2006
So is anyone interested?

Jag,
I will mark the date in the calendar mate.
Will see how we are fixed, but a friday-up and Sunday down sounds good to me.
(saving holidays for Le Mans and BAthurst/New Zealand trip in October.
Ping me some details on the hotel and plans...cheers, Eric and Clan.
P.S. Pauline now has a Red 54 Monaro CV8, so double the fuel for the trip.

G'Day Guy's,
Hope alls well, nice to see your choice in cars has not been effected by having a baby, LOVE IT !
All the best, hope to see ya later in year, when you come over.
Rob.
Got to try and make this as I'm only in Morpeth (15 mile from Newcastle).
The birth of a new baby boy on Sunday could throw a spanner in the works though.
Some great roads and beautiful countryside up here for those of you thinking of making the journey - and a night in the town must be experienced by all.

Dave52 - quickest way for me is Carlisle then cross country - I challenge anyone to get to Newcastle from here in less than 2hrs and not get caught speeding. Theres a camera van every 2nd bridge down near the border now.
Just have to make a slight detour Bob, and go convoy via A68, know all the cam pos.

Sorry, i missed your send-off mate as it looked a good-un, but we weer just down with the baby.
We'll make up for it when we come over.
Ping me your e-mail address and I send some photos of the boy in his Holden Gear.
My other mate from Geordie (IACS_Limited on the forum) has a HSV VX GTS-UK, so we can get a good old photo session of the 3 Holdens within 100 yards of each other in the estate we live in! (and thats > 1/4 of all the VX HSV's in the UK).
See ya in October Mate:
Eric, Pauline and Wee Tom.
(Jag, sorry to be slightly off-topic..!)
