Coming home from work lately I've noticed that people are starting to take the left hand lane on a roundabout to go right round to the third exit? This really psses me off because I have to do a 'double take' in my nearside mirror in case one of them is steaming up the inside as I'm bearing left to the exit, very dangerous.

It made me think about the worst driving trends that really bug me off and wondered what some of you have noticed. Here's my top 5:-

1. Left hand lane all the way round the roundabout as above.
2. Cars sitting in the third motorway lane at 65 with nothing else on the road.
3. Cars sitting in the middle motorway lane etc.
4. Cars waiting to come out of a side road/onto a roundabout, see you coming, and pull out anyway. ('Must get in front of the Monaro' syndrome I call it)
5. Car behind driving 5 thou" from my parking sensors at 70mph. I'm sure they're not all trying to read the Monaro name plate?!

Any more?.....

All of that and,
6.Lazy s who can't be bothered to indicate when going left at a roundabout so you wait longer and longer to pull out.
7.People obviously lost having absolutely no awareness of other cars around them.
8.Being stuck behind the Numpty who does 40mph in a 30 zone and continues at 40 when they get to the NSL (and probably thinks they're a "safe" driver).

Loads more but second half of the football is on!

  • drivers in right lanes at r/bouts turning left
  • drivers who go all the way to the cones (at roadworks etc) before trying to cut in and especially those who give you the bird when you dont let them - Jeez, they've had 800 yards to get in
  • motorbikes cutting down the middle..
  • cyclists who use the road even thought there's a cycle lane on the footpath

  • Oh, and anyone who get's in my way when I'm trying to "dry my car after washing it"

People who sit in the outside lane of a dual carriageway when there's nobody in the inside lane. Or side by side drivers both doing exactly the same speed on a 40 mph limited dual carriageway! I wanna pass, I wanna get through and they're doing 35 mph! Feckwits, the lot of them! This has been caused by traffic cameras and women wanting to right turn three miles down the road at a roundabout.

big bloody PDA navigation thing right in the middle of the windscreen, lit up like a christmas tree at night, obscuring all view that isn't already taken up with airfresheners and baby shoes dangling from the mirror

Elephant racing! Big truck in lane 1 (55.998 mph), big truck in lane 2 (55.999 mph). On a 2-lane dual carriageway. Lane 2 truck invariably gives in when a hill arrives, and tucks back in behind lane 1 truck, but only after creating total chaos. And while this is going on there's always a numpty who will, if there's a lane 3, pull out into it at 57mph without looking.

Swoopers.... Those in lane 3 on a motorway and cut across to the off ramp at the 20 yard marker, usually at 90MPH

Inverse is true as well... Must get to outside lane within 20 yards of entering the motorway.

People who sit at a constant 45 - in a 30 zone, 40 zone or a 60 zone - so they are up your a**e in the 30 zone about right in the 40 zone and way to slow in the 60 zone (mainly the Sunday driver league).

People who drive 10mph under the posted speed limit when driving past a speed camera and there is nothing else around necessitating such an approach, people on a main road in a traffic jam who block all the side exits so you end up sitting there as long as they do, people with ridiculously bright headlights.....if you can't see where you are going you must be driving too fast.......mmm do I spot a trend here - may be its just people!!!! or maybe its still early in the morning and I should get another coffee!!!!

I live down some country roads......people who drive small cars and think they are at least 10ft wide (the car not the person!! - maybe!) necessitating a dab of the brakes every time something comes the other way....or, if they are coming towards me, thinking they have a right to at least half of my side of the road....definitely off to get that coffee!!!!

PEOPLE WHO CANT MERGE!!! Accelerate into a gap to join, dont brake until you find one. Common sense says if youre doing the same speed as the traffic you intend to join, it will be easier to find a gap. It makes my blood boil!!

Everyone slowing down to 60mph on a Motorway just because there's a police car up ahead doing 60.
