Good evening folks.

Would like to take a minute to say hi. Brought an 18 month old monaro this afternoon after what seemed an eternity of searching. It will be ready for me to pick up Saturday afternoon and I am looking forward the 100 mile trip back in it.

I am sure I will be back over the coming weeks/months with questions.

Speak to you all again soon.

Mark

welcome to the fold - I'm sure you will enjoy the info, banter & most of all the sheer pleasure of driving the Aussie beast.
What led you to your fortunate destiny???

Hi Julian,

I have liked them since release mate and have been looking for the past 2-3 months. I would have got one sooner but it was hard to seperate with the car I had after spending x thousands on it over the last 3 years.

spending never ends... regardless of car. If not done already, the big AP stoppers are a must & just read the goss on the endless number of exhaust mods that will have your Munro breathing even more fire (see boosters vid for a start - that thing needs a f%%%in excorsism!)

Welcome Mark

Sure you will enjoy the drive back - they are great cars. And cos I am sure everyone will want to know, what colour? and what part of the country do you hail from?

Welcome Mark

As someone who has spent £7k modifying a previous car and then selling it for a fraction of the overall spend I know how you feel!

I don't think that will stop me spending a few quid on my Monaro though..... Only time will tell

Howdy Mark

If you are going to mod, just set a budget first, wish I had

Thanks for the welcome guys.

I have gone for a Blue one - the girlyfriend liked that colour the best

I would have liked a VXR but couldn't justify the 10k extra when the standard car looks and goes more than well enough.

V8HSV - I set a budget of 4k to do the Lexus and ended up hitting double figures

How many folks are in or near the Berkshire area then??

Congrats on a wise decision! you will love the thing - trust me!
FYI, I live near Bagshot. I'll keep an ear out for you. I have Wortec modded 04 CV8 in impulse blue. Definitely my favourite of the colours, and whatever anyone else here says, the Blues are by far the quickest ones!
Cheers, V8Dave
