Hi chaps and chapesses,

Okay, who has a silver Monaro - and who a black? I would really like a black one, but I'm seeing a lot more silvers in my price range (VXR). What weathers best? Mine will live outside so I'm guessing silver... it really is the difference of £2000..

Silver will be easier to keep clean, but if you're a cleaning fanatic like me and Booster, the darker colours look the shiniest

Mine's silver. I like black, but from previous experience it's a pain to keep clean. Silver doesn't show the dirt so much.

Oh...and that's QUICKsilver, but the way.

My fave colour is actually yellow but I just don't like the Monaro yellow.
It's a bit washed out and primrosy for my taste.

If it'd been close to Daytona yellow then I'd would have gone for that.

My favourite is black - I had 2 911s in black, one solid and the other diamond. Also a Calibra and Puma both in black... a royal pain to keep but they look fantastic on a sunny day when polished!

Silver is one colour I've never owned, but the Monaro does look good in it.

It's certainly not worth £2000 to have black - since the local tabby will take great pleasure in ruining it anyway. Grr.

Maybe silver is the way to go. Decisions...

Click on my nickname, wait for the pic to load, pop down to the dealers & order a silver VXR!!
Faster, classier, and shineyer. (I may have made the last two up but you know what I mean)!

Thanks!

Damn, it looks good all shiny'd up!

I'm surprised I can find half a dozen red/silver cars at £28k (my limit) but all the black ones are £30k+ with the same mileage, year etc.. why is that?!

Yep, I've noticed that as well! With regards to cleaning I had my old HSV "Diamondbrited" from new and the paint was nigh on perfect when I sold it 4 years later, without any real hassle in cleaning it during my ownership. On a black/dark car a treatment like that is well worth thinking about.

Just put the a Tiger Gold HSV amongst other HSV's - - - the Gold looks awesome.

Follow or be followed by a Tiger Gold HSV, wow is fantastic.

I coulda sworn you had it on at Halfords and my mate John commented on it when we were going down the M25.

It must have been one of the others.

Nah, nothing wrong with this yellow....

Am I the only one here with a Yellow one? (car I mean). I feel all left out now what with all the Black, red and silver Monaro's.
