Sorry MOSE,

This has nothing to do with your probs, but a big up is needed for Dan S V8 as he has correctly pointed out who cares what badge it has, they all come from the same stable, I'm a new boy to this site, and the only thing that has put me off is the constant "oneupmanship" which underlies in a lot of the posts, does it matter if your a millionaire, or if you're just spannering up an old wreck! In this country the breed is as rare as a Ferrari, and we all chose it for the same reasons. a bit more community spirit is needed! and not using this forum as a showcase as to say "look what i've got"

Rant over, Good motoring,

P.I.G.

You've made four posts and you write something like that? This group is the least likely of all the forums on Pistonheads to be described like that. The owners on here are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and enthusiastic and even though I'm now an ex-owner I spend more time on here than the Noble forum.
Frankly, you couln't be more wrong.

Hmmmmmm! Have to say I agree!
I'm a relative newbie around here and in the absolute minority!
Dont have an HSV, dont have a Holden ... but do have a vauxhall!
Biggest prob though is I'm female and I have no idea who has money and who doesnt! Know not who has an HSV and who doesnt either!
I do know tho that on this forum or out at meets ... the people on this forum are some of the nicest people you could meet

Intrigued to know the outcome of this as well. A light problem??

As for the forum banter, very funny at times, considering the size of our motors all that power and testosterone this is one of best & friendy car forums i've been on. Long may it continue

When driving it might be moving about a little, when stopped it looks normal?

Me thinks we need a 'king of the hill' drag shoot out at Santa Pod to sort the men from the boys!

Sorry,

Have been away all weekend enjoying the compnay of 300 other WHO fans at the WHO CONVENTION in London, so havent read the replies to this thread until now.

Stevie many thanx for the offer mate, and apols I didnt get back to you, will be mindful of it next time.

drove the car into London and back and didnt have any problems at all. BOSS called by this afternoon and we parked up in some country la a driveby or two and nothing could be seen. So, more than likely I have an intermittent problem....but it will get sorted out.

Oh and personally I couldnt give a shyte what badge the car has!

Something really got in the HSV.org cereal there didnt it? Perhaps I underestimated the potential for a laziness/unwillingness to use emoticons to cause such dissent.
Much as I admired the ability of my old 1.6 Cavalier to do things it wasnt designed for, my GM loyalties will always lie with Holden, hence the friendly Holden badge dig.
Bit like when I say Fords are shite while actually having deepest respect and admiration for various 'stangs, Falcons, trucks etc
It's been kind of frosty around here lately I must say...

As per my post above, i suggested i sort out a date for a trip to Santa Pod.

It seems that the most logical date would be the 4th June. This is also the Performance Vauxhall show so we can show the 4 cylinder boys hows its done

I will post a new thread nearer the time so that we can all meet up.

Meanwhile, back to fettling the ute for a much improved 1/4 mile time from my previous 13.9.

Sounds good Roger! We're going to Redline Rumble on May 14th as well if anyone else wants to come, there will be Jet car displays etc. as well as RWYB. There is a 'Muscle Car' category which certain members on here might be up for winning! (Yep Turbos do rock!so does nitrous)
