Correct on the L98 V8!
L98 was the second-to-last version of what has come to be known as the Gen 1 SBC.
They still continue to make them today, known as the Vortec 5700 and sold for marine and industrial use.

FYI
Firing order for GEN 1 & 2 SBC'S: 18-43-65-72 which by cylinder bank is: L-R-R-L-R-L-L-R
For GEN 3 & 4 SBC's: 18-72-65-43 ........which is by cylinder bank again: L-R-L-R-R-L-R-L
