This forum was helpful in the final deciding push for me buying my CV8 and the subsequent upgrades that followed and the ones that will continue hopefully, with the advice from others here.

Other forum's for other cars tend to be a bit childish. This one has 'grown' up debates with good natured 'ribbing' and some thoughtful arguments.

Keep it as it is - PLEASE! The one thing I'd like to see perhaps a bit more of, would be perhaps some meets as others have suggested, Dyno days etc.

We're a small community, and splitting us up into VXR, Monaro & HSV would only encourage model bashing in the sub-forums and 'our models' better than yours' crap.

We can visit other sites for that kind of thing!

That would kill what I think is possibly the best group I've come across.

Probably more than one entitled "Any film fans?"

In fairness to Big Nige and myself, we have put smileys on our sarcastic replys to each other.

Shouldn't have read it if you don't like it...and the clue was most definitely in the title.

I can not believe you left yourself open to that...first rule of forum arguments - don't get hoisted by your own petard.
I should know...it happens to me all the time.

Anyhoo, peace man, ain't no thang.

Meh, think of it as banter and nothing more.

Nobody has sworn and no beer has been spilled in the making of these posts...although some electrons have been mildly inconvenienced.

oo I like the look of this www.pistonheads.com/gassing/mytopics.asp

seeing as Ted has offered to setup sub forums, maybe it would be good to take advantage of this, just a few to keep it straight forward?
not really sure what sub forums would be good, guessing at:
. LS1/LS2 chat
. meets
. multimedia

ok so now i've added another 2p which means the stake is 4p or $2AUD, after this i'm calling or folding so someone decide if Ted's offer is worth considering

I quite like that Strife but I would change LS1/LS2 chat into 'general chat' as both those engines have been in many other cars and we want to keep this Holden/HSV/Vauxhall or whatever based. I think General Chat, Meets and then a jokes/multimedia section. Should be few enough to ensure the forum remains lively!

So, in summary then;

We want it to stay the same but changed as well.
We want less spotted posts but more light banter and to have the same amount of spotted posts.
We want new software but that musn't change either.

We don't need any new sections but we want new sections;
CV8
HSV/VXR
Appearance
LSx Engine and Drivetrain
Forced Induction
Events
General Chat
Off topics
For sale/Wanted
Technical info
News & events

and we want a right room to have arguments in (only 10min ones, not the full half hour) but nobody has mentioned more smilies.

Glad we covered this one now eh?

I think we've learned one thing though...never ever ask the proles.

I blame the Aussies myself.
