In the quest for stealth around town use, with the option of track open exhaust.
I was wondering if anyone had used, or has the electric cutouts?
Basically they allow you to open a valve just pre or post cat bypassing the rest of the exhuast system. They look pretty cool.
Just wondering on comments regarding fit, clearance etc.

No but I know about them, look very cool! Street-pro ones are the ones to get, they don't leak and their mechanism is cheap and easy to replace if anything goes wrong. If you've got LT headers and cat-less mid-pipes (as we do) then you can put the electric cutouts in right after they headers and hey presto, open headers!

Thats the plan, though I strongly suspect Ill need my cats once I get my cam in there. Especially for the natural idle test. Cutouts might have to sit post cat.
Just wondering on clearance, fittment issues etc.

When you say open headers - do they vent out directly under the bonnet bypassing the entire exhaust ? Thats excellent, do they use those on the street legal drag cars ?

No basically you open out after the collectors. Comes out around the rear of the trans.
You angle them out the side of the car.

On the drag cars they either just have open headers all the time or manual cut-outs which means you basically have to crawl under the car and un-bolt them. A lot cheaper (about $50 for a pair) but a lot more hassle than just pressing the button.

I would be keen on the post cat ones. Does anyone have them?
