Idle speed is based on engine temps. So its possible a higer engine temp means a low idle speed. Its all in the tune

Have never noticed any change of idling speed with ambient temperature. Usually a bit faster when engine very cold when first started up, but not for long. Usually idles at about 800 to 900 rpm (indicated).

Yeah its not based on ambient, but Engine Coolant Temp. Which is why it starts of faster and drops as the engine warms up.
