Monaro Wide Angle Driver's Mirror

If you haven't already noticed by now, the Monaro has a large blind spot due to the driver's mirror being flat.

To resolve the problem of the Monaro's blind spot (due to flat mirrir), without using one of those stick-on halfords things, you can replace the glass with the glass from a Pontiac GTO

The part is #92147343 Pontiac GTO Passenger Mirror Glass and will fit all 04/05 CV8 & VXR models.

This item is not available on the Vauxhall parts network and will have to be sourced either from a Pontiac dealer in the US or from a Holder/HSV dealer in Australia.

For further info regarding the mirrors, contact me (I've done 50+)
For VXR8, Part #92214580 (Pontiac G8 right-side mirror glass)

ELECTRIC SEAT MOTOR (SWITCH FIX)
.................................
If you find your seat 'forward and backwards' switch is inop' And/or the seat does not move forward when the top lever is raised (to allow access to the rear seats).....Then you may find the seat microswitch/relay is at fault!....

If so.....Take the plastic surround off the side of the passenger seat (one screw behind plastic cap in the centre and a further philips screw on the underside at the front of seat base) once removed this then allowed access to the electrical switchgear which is screwed to the rear of the surround. There are two electrical boxes located here.

You can here the relay/microswitch operating in the larger of the two units (the one furthest to the rear of seat)...firstly remove the two connections to it, then remove 3 screws holding it in place....you will see there are two plastic tangs that hold the two halves of this unit together, prise the tangs together and the unit will come apart, this then exposes all the electrical trickery/circuit board and the relay/microswitch.

Get a good quality electrical contact spray (halfords sell it) and squirt around the microswitch and associated electrical connections.

Re-assemble in the opposite way of removal and all the seat controls are now in perfect working order
