i pick up my new HSV GTS VT2 tomorrow from LSV :-)

quite excited as its got a special addition to it since being on ebay...

yep a supercharger :-) the SMALL (!) 490bhp version (530 more like)

lazy power with no massive impact on mpg on normal driving... no lumpy cams sucking juice on idle ... perfect everyday transport...

the £2500 + vat fitted is a bargain, especially when you can remove it and the insurance only went up a few quid

Cant wait

What was the insurance like if you don't mind me asking? How much extra for the S/C? That's my next mod potentially but am weighing up some other options at present.

What will cost more the insurance increase or the extra set of rear boots every six months?

I'm flattered that you're copying my choice of vehicles... Libra V6, then supercharged HSV...

I take it you'll be after some Alpinas next..?

Seriously though, good on you....!

Good man yourself. 530bhp - oh yes. Do let us know how you get on, it's something I'm very keen on for my new acquisition when I get it!

insurance - apparently i live in a area where crims go looking for cars?! hhmmnn touch wood its really nice here - apparently on a scale 1 to 30 i'm in a 23 rated area - with 30 being the most at risk :-(

so bearing that in mind quote went from 789 to 990 - protected no claims and breakdown cover included - well worth the premium really

no alpinas are just bmw's ;-) only joking :-) equally as strange that you wanted to buy my 993 when it was for sale! perhaps we should start a car club....

been out in the libra tonight - still amazes me how nimble it is - love it to bits - cheap (really cheap) insurance so i think i'll be keeping it a long time.

hsv is new company car - come to the conclusion cars are for driving not sitting in garages

i have a friend in the tyre business.... likely to see him more :-)

increase in insurance is less than a set of rear boots! result really.
