I have not got the job yet, but I understand you get a Manx licence on application if you have a full UK licence.

What is the vat and import duty on a car to Manx?
Could you buy a new HSV in Aus, export it and get back the GST (vat equivalent) then pay nothing at Manx

I don't think you can just register cars in Isle of Man you need "worker" status, I think its the same as "resident" status in the channel islands. If I'm successful with the job application I will be working for the Isle of Man civil service so will have "worker" status. I think Jeremy got away with registering his Ford there because his wife is Manx and they have property on the island.
