I thought that but didn't want to say it in case people thought I was mad! But the droning does seem to disappear

I concur - Droning does dissapear

I think Wortec was looking into electronic cutouts, best of both worlds at the flick of a switch, not heard anything yet.

Mine is the interchangeable latest type and with silencers it doesnt drone and sounds superb outside the car.

With silencers it sounds like the tailpipe is in the car and my neigbour claims he can here me slowing for a roundabout thats about a mile from our houses.....

So thats the refined burble or attention grabbing blare choice...
