I have done two trips to the ring now and the brake pedal is feeling a bit soft.

The good new is the beginning of the month it is booked in for a 20k service. Does this include a brake fluid flush? If not I can easily do it myself.

Also to help with the brake fluid boil issue, is it worthwhile putting in DOT 5.1? Braded hoses?

and... one final thing, if I need new pads (I think I will!) and don’t want a AP upgrade, what’s the best pad for the job? I am quite aggressive on the pedal and want one for fast road / occasional track use. EBC Redstuff, Ferodo?

5.1 will will give you a bit more tolerance of heat build up. Certainly can't do any harm.

For a more resilient pad, please give me a call, we have been testing some new products and may have something to suit your needs.

What have you got? Any AP like stopping power at half the price????

We can't do AP power for half the price, but improvements are possible.

Pad change is the minimum, pad and disc change is better, HSV/Harrop set up better still, AP's being the best.

What are you trying to achieve?

The benefits of any brake modification will be roughly proportional to the money spent.

Please feel free tocall us and we can discuss your requirements.
