eek 427 being that 7 litre V8 that was in the nations monaros and that should have power the HRT 427? :biggrin:
really cant wait to see this when its finished,how long would you expect it to take?

Doh, why I put 05 I dont know, its 04, and the spare is an LS1 - I'll keep it as a spare

275s at the moment, but you're right it needs wider IMO

You probably know harrop do 9" and 12 bolt setups for the holden. Plus US BMR do forged half shafts etc. There is a good writeup on ls1gto.com from a sponsor setting up their demo car with loads of beefy stuff and all the issues etc. Check out the suspension threads if interested.

What's the likely output once it's all built? It's got to be getting close to 1000bhp? Will it be detuned for street driving?

I'm expecting it to be a large number, but dont have a fixed target in mind. The challenge is/was to come up with something useable on the street.driving

Harryoz, just a few questions, do they torque it all up with plastigage and then change the shells if required and is it normal to use cooperease on the case bolts. Only asking btw. Built quite a few V-Twin bike engines and the main case bolts would be dipped in engine oil before assembly. Engine would be temporarily built with small shells to size up the actual shells required.?
