I'll make a note... I'll be there if I can, even if it's just to make up numbers!

If i were to come i would have mrs wr and junior with me. is it feasible to bring the family or do you (the driver) just end up waiting in the queue all day for your next run whilst friends and family sit and watch? been to a RWYB ( to watch ) and enjoyed it but need to know a bit more please?

Depends on the day really - if lots of nova boys turn up then yes you spend time waiting but TBH after a couple of runs I will be sat watching others - you could do the same...?

Ther was a lot of queing for the strip TBO but Sophie sat in the bleachers all day and was entertained by a us lads throughout the day as we took time out to watch a few runs.

The toilet facilities are fine and there is a good cafe too.

However if the weathers bad (ie cold or rainy) don`t bother, its quite exposed wind wise.

The more the merrier.

Entrance is £10.00 per person non racing.

Racing is an additional £20.00 per person.

Yeah I quite fancy a blast down the quarter mile. What's the start time?

hi all, i was thinking of runing at avonpark on the 6-7 april. You get much more track time and the grip is about the same as the pod on a rwyb day.

9:00 for 9:30 but the doors close when they have enough runners so its anyones guess when that would be. Am planning on arriving at 8:45.

Looking at the dates I think its the 5th and 6th.
May have to have some on the 5th too, last time I was there was in Mental Betty at Gary`s Picnic.
Looks like it could be a busy weekend (unless we have to go shopping or something )

Jez, I have just been looking up on their web site to the rules of the day, and it all looks pretty well simple enough. Had to have a laugh when under the beginners guide page their recommendation was to “let the handbrake off” Doh!

They do say any rain and it is called off, so I will not be pre booking; now the intention is that I will come at the moment, and this will depend on how I am feeling on the day, as I have an all day stag do to attend on the Friday.

Now it is all very well you shouting out ROGER!!!! Harry oz, because I will be truly if I get draw along side you!!! getmecoat

So Jez, if you have any influence at these meets, can you find me an old granny in a Moggy Minor to run against please..

Funny you should make that request, whilst I`d shy away from ANY moggie at the strip regardless of who was driving I do have some comp for you.

Today Sophie became the proud owner of an Astra VXR and is looking to `kick some butt` (her exact words) so we are off to Avon park on the sat (05th) for a practice.

Err, will she make an allowance for my age? or does she just want to spank me?? if so I would rather that than that Rogering. rofl
