Nice to meet you mate, suprised you ran with belt slip problems...next time eh!

Like the idea of an HSV runway day, talked to the TV guy and he said he`d cover it.....

Cool, I'll see what I can do. In hindshight it was a mistake to run but I didn't do that bad considering I have a sick car. The potential is there but I think you and Harry will be the guys to beat next time!

Sounds like a good day was had by all.

The numbers look quite a bit lower than what I was expecting to see, especially for the FI cars.

How important is ambient temperature on the figures? When I had my '05 CV8 with just the catback rolling roaded up at Rapid I was making 320rwhp and 400 torques but the OAT was not much more than around 5C

How variable are the dyno dynamics rolling roads?

My experience is that you need to forget what happens on your own on a specific day. On wednesday on another dyno mine showed over 400 rwhp. Today it was 360. The important thing is the atmospherics and dyno calibration is the same for everyone, so you can gauge how your motor is relative to the others - exactly.

As some one else said on here, it will be intersting to see how the above figure translate to track times when we are all together again in May.

BTW, thanks to Jez and Sophie and everyone else responsible for organising what was a most enjoyable day. The banter was great and the company was excellent. Thank you.

Only 3 of the 8 forced induction setups made it into the top 5 this time.

Has the supercharger had its day
Or is is just the dawn of the camshaft

May he who moves the most air win.

Hey Rich, can't you do a league table like you did last time?

And one of them is an old 5.7 ls1. And the other only had a blower fitted .

So how much is a ls7 ?

And 2 of them where my old cars.

I've uploaded a bunch of photos to photobucket [47 of them]. Most were taken by my son, who didnt like all the noise so nothing really in the dyno room I'm afraid.

Feel free to browse / grab any;

There were some people there taking photos and video of the actual dyno runs so hopefully they will post them so we can all grab them too!

What a great day! And my numbers were around the mark I was hoping for which is good too. Perhaps more surprising for me was just how far up the league table I ended up! 8th with an LS1, think only Global-i was higher with an LS1 and his is forged and cammed too. Very happy with that!
The bacon sarnie was lovely, thanks Sophie. Was great to put some more faces to forum names, and real names (credit to Gareth again for the badges )
Looking forward to Shakeys even more now, see if that power can translate to track times
Thanks again to Roger (Monkfish) for ANOTHER driveshaft doughnut! hehe
See you all soon!
