I reckon I hold the record for 40-0 in zero seconds. And I'm in the running for the most spent on rebuilds.
I thought I did bad, at £7.5k for only 2 miles covered - or £3.75k damage per mile.I really don't wish that sort of expense on anyone - though I bet you're close, as you've been doing it a 1/4 at a time.

Naa, David Purley beats you, driving a Pilbeam/LEC F1 car at Silverstone in 1977. Throttle stuck open and subjected him to a 108mph to zero in circa 26 inches. 28 fractures and three heart stoppages later he survived, only to tragically die in another accident in his Pitts special biplane.Sorry to hear what happened to the car and glad you're ok.

I managed five good runs, so 1.25-miles of fun.
And for the performance chart: 1206hp - 10.25 @ 141mph - zero to written off in 300-feet

There you go - a happy story to cheer you up. Sorry to hear what happened to the car and glad you're ok.
Glad to hear you are unhurt - only metal etc etc.
(That said I nearly killed my eldest son tonight when he scraped the wheelie bin the full length of the drivers side of mrs mik's Disco3. Two and a half hours with the DAS6 polisher (most use it has ever had) and only the deepest scratches are now remaining. )
