I think it will be close with Jez and Wormus. Depends on what boost level Jez runs it at. I vote 20 psi!

Mine shall now be running 14psi so adjust your expectations if you have any. Torque keeps breaking the drive train on 18psi.

Which particular part mate? I just brough back a BMR 300m axle shaft from the states. It's humungous.

PS also got a 1350 slip joint so we can alter the prop and get rid of the chocolate doughnuts.

So far it's broken the doughnut, the diff and today lunched the clutch.

Thanks Mike, that's really kind. Mark has a replacement thankfully.

Maybe you actually can have too much of a good thing

Not that boost is necessarily a good thing of course. 1 atmosphere works fine for me

Power corrupts and comes at a price. You fix one bit and something else breaks. It makes flat torque across the range which is really hard on the rest of the transmission. This is my third clutch in less than 5k miles!

Fair play to Mark though, he's looked after me really well

Still baffles me about clutches.

Textralia. Buy once.

Or as Mike says, the Mcloed twin can handle a lot, and is well proven

Spec clutch is rated at 900lbs. Diff and clutch both went on the dyno where the wheels can't spin.

Obviously, I don't want it to break on Charlie's dyno and for it to go home on the back of an AA truck.

Im sure I saw it put down 550rwhp at SRR on a dyno sheet somewhere.

Yeah Monkfish dynoed it just before I got it back but was before all the final tweaks and it made around 548RWHP or something I believe

You just want to see Jezz's engine go pop, death to all FI tongue out

I don't know how you afford to let that car go after all the time an money you spent then go and buy a Bathurst!! Fair play though... just look after this one.
What did yours make then Roger?
505rwhp but im sure thats gonna go with Wormus and yr new stead coming! smile

Indeedy.

On both counts.

Paul, what's Mark proposing clutch wise to get past that TQ figure then?

Hopefully Gareth might decide to bring the GTS so you might lose that wink
Is it fixed then... thought it needed rebuilding after the oil issue.
Its running using thicker oil but would be up to Gareth if he wants to risk running it, Im sure even in its current state it will make a good figure.

Gareth, you decided yet?
Might risk it. If it blow's it's coming out either way!
So what's this oiling problem then? Bad bearing tolerances set when the forged bits went in or differing oil channel gauges with rods compared to crank etc....? Must have missed something, i'm curious as I have plans afoot.

For the moment he's replacing it like for like as it was fine on 14. We could go further but Mark feels strongly that something expensive is going to break. Too much time and money has gone into it to destroy it for the sake of a few extra ponies.

Now you have done it mate. You are going to have to tell us what you have in mind.

Well first i'm waiting for Gareth to sell me his heads wink, the rest is still in the air but will include a new lumpy stick and forged bits of dimensions unfinalised. The devils hair dryer is being weighed up the mix I have to say.

Being away in Stockholm alot and wedding plans may delay realisation slightly though...if not parts accumulation. Summer hols this year may involve building a motor biggrin

You should be high 400's with a 402.
