Why not pass it to the police? well it'd probably cost them their jobs, knock on effect, loose their house. Not really fair on their kids, just because Dad is being a dick in a clients car. Luckily noone got hurt otherwise I'd have no problem dropping them in it.

Fair enough.

If he likes the car that much, he should buy the car off you at RRP when it was new or run the risk of suffering all of the above.

I would have gone nuts over that I have got to say, I hope you didnt pay for any of the work that was done after seeing that video!?

Good bit of kit ive been looking at tracker system that give details of journeys, speeds etc however getting the video to boot is fantastic, who did the install on it for you?
Trouble is with a Tracker, is its only meant to be "tracked" if its been nicked, well mine is anyway... I dont think Tracker would be very happy if i asked for speeds during road tests after every service.. At least with the roadhawk, you've caught the CcensoredTs redhanded on the telly furious
The top tracker package you can see speeds and roads used etc through the website as far as I know, but the video element and lack of a monthly subscription with this one is idea!
James, i wasn't being funny mate and know you understand these products... Mine will detect speeds, motion detection when either the car is being jacked-up or moved onto a transporter etc but my point was my annual contract purely covers theft and the odd phone call to Tracker isn't in it frown... Not only that, on the roadhawk website it also have other uses, such as video evidence against Tcensoredsser road users who drive dangerously, it could be fun??? hehe

You sure there's not a bit on the video where it might accidently show the garage name ?;)

You could also try sending the footage and your story to the local paper and see if they will print some screenshots? It will hurt their local reputation which they'll need. It would be a shame to let them get away scott free after such a lot of mistrust.

Stuart, forgot to ask, have you got a pic of the roadhawk fitted in the Monaro?

I like the idea but with the pics on the website it looks like a fairly large bit of kit to strap to your windscreen. Hardly hidden from the driver. The numpty's probably assumed it was a radar detector.

^^ also would like to see some fitted pics to see how it looks. smile

Seems a good idea - but what if the 'old bill siezed it and used it as evidence against you?

That is outrageous. Up to you if you shop them or not, but if that garage is local to you you're nowhere near 150 miles from Monkfish. I drive past that garage regularly for meetings in Redditch, and it's about 60 miles from Milton Keynes, where I (and Monkfish) live.

From my personal experience with Monkfish it'd be well worth your effort, and Roger won't take your car for a joyride - he's used to more horsepower so not as easily excited biggrin Oh, and he's also not a tt like these guys clearly are.

Fark me, this is disugusting! Not just the joyride, but then to deny it when you confronted the wker.
I hope you take this further - they shouldn't get away with taking your car for a thrash, or for driving the way they did (125mph?!?!?!?).
Unbelievable.

OK here's pictures of it fitted.

From the drivers seat it's invisible.

From the passenger seat, it's the thing that looks like a black banana behind the mirror.

The black cylinder thing above the RH-1 is the aerial for Smartdrive nothing to do with the RH-1.

That actually fits really well Stuart. Do you leave it in the car all the time? What I'm referring to is they always tell you to remove GPS systems and their clamps which I currently do, so wondered if this is something else that has to be removed or not? Also, how are you powering it? Unless I've missed something on the website it can either plug in to the ciggy lighter (annoyingly in the centre arm rest) or hard wired.

Take the memory card out of it, they are small enough to easily, ahem lose.

Im sure the vast majority of police wont know what one of the units is anyways!

Hi Glyn, I have it mounted all the time. It's hardly noticable from outside the car and it's not the easiest of things to remove. I used the 'stuck on' attachment it's a lot smaller than the suction cup mount. To get the camera off, you need to move it in a particular way or it just sits there like a rock. The cigaratte power cable is 5 meters long! so I have the cable routed to cigaratte lighter in the center console behind the handbreak. All the cabling is hidden. Really easy to do when you have that much cable smile
