It would be non-CF for me. Is there something special about these cobras?
Just the CF, those ones in the classifieds are a pretty tempting deal, but the CF and logo are worth it for me, as the car's a keeper, I'd always wish I'd got the CF ones... SturdyHSV said:

I'm fine with GFRP/plastics, and would actually rather not have a logo. Hell, if I wasn't ok with plastics I guess I'd be in an M3 I'm really struggling to get my head around replacing seats...seems easy for rigid mounts, sliding mounts start getting limited, and tilting mounts seem to be like rocking horse poop :|
Wenter and sat in one today. A very good comfy fit for me, will be pulling the trigger on a pair of these once I sort out where's cheapest.
Think I'll need some universal seat sliders and I'll get a mount made locally if necessary.
Excited? Yes.
Should probably mention sneakily that some 'Ro seats may be for sale soon (more, as I have a full set at monkfish too... So there'll be two sets of fronts and one rear set in fact...)

Recaro cs are the seats fitted to the corsa Vxr as well as other oe cars 007 you sat in some in Sams Rs they are awesome seats & available with side airbags so you can retain that.
Where does the seatbelt stalk attach? I imagine it goes directly to the subframe like the majority of modern cars in which case you will need to retain the stock subframes

I'm currently thinking I'll go tilting mounts and non-reclining seats, just need to check there's actually room!
Your main problem with going that route, is the headrest hitting the roof. I think this was the reason why car manufacturers moved away from tilting seats, to tilting back rests. It's much cheaper to manufacture a hinge on the runners, than hinge and slide mechanism under the chair.I will do my best to be thorough on the measurement front
I'm hoping to end up sitting lower than the stock sofas, as much as I like the driving position, I've always felt slightly higher up than I'd expected to be.
So excited, I think it's about a 3 week build time, but will see. I used GSM Sports Seats who have been fantastic, and price matched too Very happy

Yeah, the mounts aren't cheap but some are very thin and it gives more seat options. Quite frustrating that there's nowhere you can go to try the damn things!KMud said:

The people I got the seats from are apparently soon opening a big showroom with a range of seats and driving games, might be useful Gassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
