Purple Monaro (so I guess a CV8) spotted on Deansgate in Manchester at 12pm today. Anyone?

That was a colour available in oz, plus a couple of others. Including one called tourismo blue. Was a pretty much in your face colour. Holden also did a darker purple colour as well which was nice. Limited colours though in hsv form. They didn't carry all the colours.

That looks like morpheous, which was a VE only colour. So id guess thats a repaint. The purple (darker than this) was called cosmo and was only available on VY2 as i recall.

I think it is a colour they called Fusion. Was around 2005 time.

They did morpheous in the VZ range... mainly utes... but it for memory it was one of the last colours offered on the monaro range...

Fusion was a bronze/orange colour. quite nice though
