I remember the noise from our launch event last year
http://youtu.be/LAa1JsJE470?t=1m37s
gutted
Sold as I am putting too many miles on it through work and too expensive to keep putting right to use as a second car
Its being replaced by the new Golf R for work and a new house purchase in spring/summer. Depending how much I get for my current house and how much the new one costs, there may be a Chevy Nova/Chevelle to fill the gap

These are pics of my R8 Bathurst Lee's old car . These pics were taken last year at Top Gears Track at Dunsfold by Professional German Photographer.
Next month the car is going to have a new WP 230 SC, a new Walky 3" 200cell cats on GTS quad pipe tips , ECU re-mapping new air intake, a Walky short shifter, and other upgrades.
Then it will be a Bathurst "S".
That will make it #18, I think. Next month the car is going to have a new WP 230 SC, a new Walky 3" 200cell cats on GTS quad pipe tips , ECU re-mapping new air intake, a Walky short shifter, and other upgrades.

Are you sure about the GTS tips? They won't be the flat hexagonal ones, will they?
Yes it will be build number 18. Nothing fake ...all done by WP

I was worried that you were going for these, which (IMHO) wouldn't look right with the earlier rear end.
I want the car to be as near as WP Bathurst S as possible, no expense spared.I will be purchasing new 20" wheels too, but get the car back first next month.
I am not sure about the new Gen F GTS car. So rather then invest in a new car , I am spending the "dosh" on my old car and will concentrate on that....I think the 10+ k will be well spent.

The 20" wheels were an optional extra. There are some, which just have the 19s fitted. The AP brakes were an option as well IIRC.I am not sure about the new Gen F GTS car. Yours won't be 'as near to a Bathurst S as possible' it WILL be a Bathurst S, or WP wouldn't add you to the register.

Anyone on here know why it isn't available here?
Check this exhaust. There's a dealer in the uk now ( scroll down the page for the sound clip of the GTS)
