The Quays Meet 24th July
Discussion
Right then Lads, Saturday 24th (007s - Lucerne)
The initial meeting and registration will take place at 007s. Following a drivers briefing we will drive to the Eurotunnel terminal for the channel crossing, followed by a drive south via various superb French and Swiss motorway roads, to our evening one destination, the fantastic Schloss Hotel Golden Gate overlooking Lake Lucerne.
Sunday 25th (Lucerne - Alpine Passes - St Moritz)
The morning will be spent driving the world’s best alpine passes, including the Julier pass, en route to St Moritz (voted by Top Gear as the finest driving road in the world). An afternoon driving the Stelvio, Bormio and Umbrail passes will precede an evening relaxing at the hotel High Alpine Spa or a drink or two in St Moritz town, which may see us into Sunday morning. For evening two we will be staying at the truly majestic 5* Kempinski Grand Hotel Des Bains in St Moritz.
Monday 26th (St Moritz - San Bernardino - Lake Garda)
Another morning driving the alpine passes, including the amazing San Bernardino pass, will be followed by a high alpine drive that will see us cross 3 borders in less than 10 minutes! Then we will continue through Italy and across the Dolomites, arriving at Lake Garda by mid afternoon and the beautiful lakeside hotel Relais Sant Emiliano, where in the evening we will all enjoy a "champagne gala" dinner accompanied by piano!
Tuesday 27th (Lake Garda - Modena - Montreux)
Relaxing morning, followed by a short drive south to Modena and exclusive tours of Lamborghini and Ferrari. Then we will drive the incredible Grand Saint Bernard pass - not for the feint hearted. We will finally drive on to Montreux, where we will be staying at the spectacular 5* Fairmont Le Montreux Palace on the shores of Lake Geneva. All participants will get the chance to wind down in the superb Palace Willow Stream Spa. Highly recommended!
Wednesday 28th (Montreux - MEATANDCHEESE'S)
Some great Alpine driving roads are taken in as we drive past Lake Geneva and across the French border to Besancon, prior to picking up the superb French autoroutes and on to a celebratory dinner at mine.
Right then, Who's still coming now???
P.S. This is a fantasy route for the future! 007 ferret82
