Got round to finishing the electric cutouts over the weekend (thanks to Stig for the link to his Mustang install).. and I have to say.. they sound incredible – video below
At the moment it’s got a custom powerflow ss catback that I’m quite happy with, so didn’t want to spend a crazy amount on Wortecs (good as I hear they are) and having just got rid of my 87 Camaro I wanted something to make the Ro sound similar when the mood takes. Also has Walkinshaw remap and custom airbox mod with K&N. Other than that, it's stock.
Had a local exhaust place weld the Y Pipes in then got my brother (an electrician) to help me wire them in on Sunday. At the moment, the turndowns from the cutouts are both facing in, as it was the only way they’d bolt in with the motors at that angle, but I’m going to get some adjustable ones and swap them over in the next few weeks so they’re pointing outwards rather than in.
After getting the motors and turndowns bolted in , the next job was to get the cables up into the car. With a bit of trial and error the centre console all came off (1 screw!) and we tried to work out the best place to bring the cables up. Rather than drilling a hole through the floor plan, I decided to make a small slit in the thick rubber gear shift gater, right at the front where there’s no movement in it. Obviously it’s right in above the trans and in a perfect place, and doesn’t involve dangerous (for me!) drilling of holes.
We made sure the cable were all secure and safe going round each side of the gearbox (whre theres already a few handle cable holders) siliconed and sealed up around the wires going through the rubber shift gater and ran them back through the centre console under the electric windows buttons etc and under the cubby hole.
Wired the switch into the cubby hole for ultimate stealth mode and took the power from the back of the power outlet so it was nice and easy and keeps everything close together.
And finally.. with everything put back together and about 4 hours work it’s all up and running. Vid shows engine start up and idle with cutouts closed, then the same with them open fully. Turn the sound up for maximum pleasure

Last few pictures are during and after the paint refresher and spoiler repair (bare in mind this was in 3 pieces after my wifes little mishap so I was mega impressed what my mate danny (pictured buffing) managed to do! Looks like new now. He also did both sides of the car and back end to make sure we got a good match. Looks like it’s straight out the factory now.
He’s keen to take on a few extra bits of work here and there, so anyone in the north who wants any paint, chips, dents, repairs etc doing – get in touch and I’ll forward his number.
Time for some fun now..
Andi.... have you notified your insurance company about the cutouts? just wondered what they classed them as?At the moment it’s got a custom powerflow ss catback that I’m quite happy with, so didn’t want to spend a crazy amount on Wortecs (good as I hear they are) and having just got rid of my 87 Camaro I wanted something to make the Ro sound similar when the mood takes. Cameras rarely do the noise justice.
I got mine from ali express and they arent just open or closed and are remote..it goes from normal to ear solitting pops and bangs feel like they're coming through the floor.
Ive got mine just after the headers and no cats..so unsilenced...115 db plus haha

I ordered 2 of these and fitted them in my monaro wortec boxes. They only took about 10 days to deliver and I haven't had any issues to date but I did remove and lock tight all the screws before fitting. He also lists a remote version for a couple of quid extra but I prefer a proper switch (I did swap out the supplied one for something a little less industrial.) You can also get a y piece connector off ebay to connect both motors to one control box so they both work in tandem. I have a pair of Wortec boxes that could do with these put in....

i had the badland ones on mine it sounded good , my advice is move them regularly and squirt the odd bit of wd40 when you can , both of mine died in the end replacements were sent out but i gave up trying to sort them in the end , shame as i do miss them it was a nice change from a little burble and no noise when crusing to a fair rumble
Only issues I have with the Ali Express valves are that one of mine packed in due to the coupling screws coming loose and wouldn't tighten up without chewing the head off the screw. The coupling is now held together with high strength loctite which seems to be doing the job.
This is my second valve however, as the coupling coming loose on the first valve caused the flap to keep jamming and one of the sprockets in the gearbox destroyed itself.
The only other little issue seems to be the slight bit of play in the gearbox which causes a bit of hissing.
