if people are buying them for investment why would it make any difference on time of year i understand they are a summer car and the market as a rule picks up toward the summer but as an investment surely it doesnt matter just my opinion i see these cars not achieving these type of prices specially in the current economic climate i hope i am wrong and jason does well with the cars he has and my old car as it is a good one!!! good luck jason and i know there are only around 160 sagaris left or there abouts but for a few grand more a gallardo or r8 etc would be more for me build quality etc that said i loved my sag and it is a lovely car!!!!
Blimey, I feel out of breath reading that! biggrin

Why would you pay "a few grand more" for common supercars (regardless of build quality)??? 114 R8's currently for sale on PH. 69 Gallardo's. 10 Sagaris!
I could be wrong, but this sounds a little like sour grapes that you sold yours too cheap Sean, especially after having spent a scensoredt load on it.

they sold this one for £52k,

http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3209145.htm

I prefer your interior and yours has less miles, you didn't seem to do many miles in yours Sean,

as for a Gallardo or R8 yikes i'd have a Sag over them any day unless it was a Superleggera and then you are talking £100k+,

Track V Road sold the blue one and the starmist one in under a week at sticker price but could have held an auction both times. Very good examples at very reasonale prices with full dealer warranty/backup. Has to be very very special to command over 50K imho, and proabably time of year doesn't help - Jan/Feb always poor for selling this type of car.

More people will want Sags as time goes by, probably Tuscan/Tamora/T350 owners more likely than most ?? So I think prices will climb but what to ? I can't ever see anyone paying more than 55/60k really.

The values have gone up 25-30% in 30 months (since I bought mine). Is it so inconceivable to believe that a car made in limited numbers, of which say only 150 survive today, will continue to appreciate by at least 10% per annum for the rest of eternity??? Regardless of old technology and build quality, the sheer few numbers built of this "end of the line" marque, hand built, ultimate British sports car makes trying to ascertain a ceiling value damn near impossible. Speculate all you want, but unless and until somebody starts building new ones from scratch (and these will undoubtedly be £100k+), there is no upper limit to where the values on Sags will (not might) go. BTW, there's a slightly used Farbio/Ginetta for sale on PH for £85,000. Telling me good Sags won't reach £60,000 before the end of the year?

They won't".......There, its been said, (holds breath for insults)

Why don't Tuscan 2s full converts like mine make this sort of money, as they are less common than the saggy. And faster....

Coz no one really, truly likes the convertibles. My best mate had the choice of a few T2S's and elected to go with the Targa. It's a much nicer shape. In many peoples opinion, the drophead killed the lines of the Tuscan. TvR just sold their Spectraflair T2S Targa, but haven't been able to move the claret T2S Convert. And BTW, the values on 2005- T2S's have been rising steadily recently, just not quite as aggressively as the Sagaris. The Sag is the Sag. Yes more made than T2S's, but you have to compare how many Sags you're going to see on the road, compared to how many Tuscans (of all derivatives). I'll get my coat!

Thanks for the reply, I noticed that you did not comment on the Tuscan being faster than the sag though hehe
I love the Tuscan s coupe but the pod dash was not to my likening and the only ones that are selling have the converts dash, I think some people call it a mk3...........

you may have owned one for a while but judging by the mileage it had on it when it was at CN to the mileage on it now you never drove it hehe

I think all TVR speed six engined cars will now start appreciating and especially so if TVR ever did get round to building new cars as they will be £100k+ and have mass produced crate engines in em,

all the bespoke TVR speed six engined cars will become very desirable in a few years.

Don't think that's true. I've just picked the Sag up from HHC and they've got some in that are stunning. Must admit the 'wavey' dashboard sets them off. I could be tempted by a convertible very easily.

I agree, the T2 converts are beautiful, they will rocket in price in a few years.
