i had a 650bhp evo6 at 19 and my sag at 23 so it all depends on yourself. Dont really understand why you would post this really. Im from Selby so if you wanna have a look at mine even though its a sag feel free too.

slipstream 1985 said: not garaging it will make it cheaper. also i think there is a step up above 6k miles. try it at 5k and 6k, there shouldn't be a difference in price but it gives you a 1000 miles more to play with Not sure why garaging would make it cheaper, quetion is usally brick or timber and the more robust the structure the greater btheft protection. Thats said, insurance is mostly about 3rd party liability, i.e. the damage you would potentially cause. As persoanl injury can run into tens of thousands, the value of your car against accident and theft can be far less important. Have the T350, Suzuki 1300 B-king and the old run about L200 pickup on a multi vehicle policy for a shade over 600 quid with mannings. No 2 quotes will ever really be similar as every company run under different criteria in my opinion.

The 350 (same as the Tam) is a pussycat to drive, the 3.6 has little low down torque which as long as you're sensible makes it easy to drive in the wet and it's a long and progressive throttle. I've had TVRs (Chim and now a 350) for 8 1/2 years now and can count the number of scary moments on the fingers on one hand and I am no angel when it comes to pushing my car (but not my limits). Insurance - as an alternative to MSM try Mannings. One thing I will say though is make sure you can afford the running costs, you may be lucky with a standard service with no advisories but theres always something that needs doing - a look on most profiles should show running costs under each owners blog which should help give you a sample of possible costs. If you budget around 1.5k a year you should be OK unless a biggie occurs - cluch for example around a grand or so.

[quote=Jamieboy101] I have just bought a T350 (well I pick it up in two weeks) and got by far the best Insurance quote from Manning. They do a bespoke TVR insurance package. Give em a call and see. Having said that the Admiral price seems really good to me.

But the nobles prices are a bit out of my reach plus I just love tvr's expecially the sag but there out of my price range too but that would be my dream car

I got a chim 450 first, I was 23/24 was insured for peanuts with one of the usual classic firms but I think most are tightening up now.
I'm now 27 and have had a sag for 2.5 years, insured with MSM for around 400/500 quid. Must be second car though, limited miles to 3k PA

Not something I experience at my local meet (Herts, Beds & Bucks - one of the best regions IMHO) but I do know where you are coming from. At the risk of upsetting a few on here (And I'm not saying anyone on here is like that) there are an awful lot of cliquey beards in the TVRCC and whilst I'm not too young (36) I have felt a little too young at some meets where people turn up only to natter with their mates and talk the latest shiny widget. I prefer the runs out, noisy cars, down to earth owners - one of the reasons I try and attend PH meets rather than some TVR specific.

I would concur.

Don't think I'm too young sadly but my theory is that there may be a little bit of an atmos if they realise you're not a paid up member of TVRCC but are turning up to their meetings - I could be wrong of course but then I could be right. I could be right.. I could be wrong.. oh no..

I'm 26 whilst being one of the younger Tvr owners I've always felt very welcome where ever I go, drag strip, pub meets, tag, ttit, goodwood I had a Tvr BBQ on Saturday and the average age was at least 45-50 and every one is very friendly and no age discrimination at all!
