New Design Hinges = Wide Open Bonnet
Discussion
There has been some progress on these. I have found a company to make them and am now looking at the design options.
It is possible to make them both wide opening and with Pip-pins so that the bonnet can be quick released and re-installed, maybe even single handed. Is that a feature people would be keen on, or is opening wide enough not to need the bonnet released except for major works?

^^^^^^^^ What he said ^^^^^^^ but I am happy just to be able to open the bonnet and check the fluids without all the faffing around
Absolutely! I changed my washer bottle and pump yesterday - what a faff trying to remove the bottle due to the bonnet stopping it from lifting out of its slotted housing!ChrisPap said:

Chris, I was also looking into getting the bonnet off quickly. There was a solution with quick release pins Steve dug up, but no follow-up on that. I believe he's still waiting for the delivery. It is possible to make them both wide opening and with Pip-pins so that the bonnet can be quick released and re-installed, maybe even single handed. So, yeah, count me in on these pip-pins. Any ideas on keeping the bonnet in position when wide open? cannot view the pics right now for some reason.
