This is the base model as it currently stands - not lacquered or painted or finished etc.

Brendan is modifying this one for me to meet some specific requests I have, so the final
version in my car will be slightly different.

I think you mean air vent hose, but I was thinking the same. It goes into the standard airbox to balance pressure (direction is dependent on pressure differential and fulfils different roles depending on direction). So I'd be interested in knowing what has been done instead.

I'm currently evaluating this one and the ACT one. It would be good to have some more info. Especially as it's been a while since this thread was updated.

(If there is a newer thread that I should be looking at instead, then could someone post a link please?)

Testing took a bit of a nose dive on our long pipe airbox. Running the pipes into free air gave massive gains .. we were sure we were on to a surefire winner. However the exact same pipe routings and lengths into a filter airbox more or less halved the gains we had previously seen. After pouring more time and money into the project we've decided to shelve it for now. It's costing a fortune to go round in circles at the moment (read thousands of pounds so far).
I will be buying a couple of cars later in the year hopefully so I can probably revisit the testing again and try to work out what's going on, but for now the project is resting ..
