On a serious note yes the misting up is a pain and to make it worse since I had the accident and fixed that side does not mist up just the passengers side and it drives me mad mad thought about drilling a small hole but I put a thread up about that and someone said it will then fill up with dirt etc

Hot gearstick having a titanium one fitted next week hope that makes it cooler

Oil and water level checks but I,am getting used to that

radio reception, I changed to an alpine ide-178bt and it plays through iphone and great reception and so far not lost reception and if you down load Tunein Radio App you can get 1000,s of stations from around the world, it does not have a CD you just play all your music through the Iphone

Seat belt clip is too low and has ripped the seats and I bought some extenders from amazon that solved that, but now having partial re-trim got longer stalks fitted as they look better

3.6 engine lacks grunt till you get it going, I,am used to my Cerb, but probarbly going to get a 4.3 from Dom fitted next year

Headlights went out in it the other week when it was dark and they are awful will get the HID lights put in

The title says 'Sagaris', and no Sag had a 3.6 engine.

Sorry about the confusion but there is a guy talking about issues with his T350 on here as well and yes I own a Cerb as well as a T350 and a Griff too

Interesting thoughts. Agree with them all, but also missing things I might have thought would be on there, like
the gearbox, for example.

A dashboard that you can read in daylight.
Cold air (proper cold air) at a few more knots speed thru all the vents.
Washer jets
Front opening bonnet
Proper lights
Non-misting lights
Non-leaking door seals/windscreen
Heated rear screen (wires burn out in screen)
Longer lasting clutch - it doesn't 'wear' - it's the fingers that break - not aware of any other car where fingers break on clutch plate.

OK Alex,

here are some of the several modifications I've done to my car, so they show the points I wanted to improve:

- Made a hidden bracket for the front middle bonnet so she doesn't lift on high speeds
- Silicone Hoses because of the high temperature in the engine compartement
- Replaced Air Box because of cracks in the plastic one
- Replaced Exhaust because of the bad sound of the original one
- Replaced Original Dampers/Springs to improve handling
- Replaced Original Wheels because I think they don't fit in an optical way to the Sag
- Changed Routing of cables for the rear window heater
- Replaced Dipped Beam Lights with Hella 90mm Bi-Xenon units
- Fitted an USB Plug under the Dashboard (with Serial/USB-Converter) to make a faster diagnosis if needed
- Changed position of Power Steering Pump Relay, shortened and rerouted the cable
- Changed front brake discs to a bell/rotor system with AP Racing Rotors to get rid of the wrong ventilated originals
- Different Steering Wheel together with a quick release mount to improve the steering feel and as a secondary 'immobilizer'
- Changed to throttle bodys with ball bearings to improve reliability and throttle feel
- Changed to a 4.3 Ltr engine to improve reliability and power/torque, to be on the safe side ;-)
- Replaced plastic washer bottle with Lee's perfect polished one
- Replaced a lot of bolts/tubes/wires to improve the optics/reliability
- Replaced interior mirror with a smaller one to improve visibility, especially here in Germany
- Changed bracked of alternator to improve belt tension

What's on the board for the next time:
- New MBE ECU System from Dom
- Replace Hydratrak Locker with Quaife Locker

Alex I've noticed you mention before that you're not happy with the T5 box. What problems do you have as I think the one in mine has the best shift action (when warm) that I've experienced - possibly with the exception of my old mk1 MR2.
Reverse is always a little reluctant but TADTS!. Have you had the alignment between engine and gearbox checked? The only problem I've ever had was when trialling new engine mounts which threw the engine out of alignment meaning the clutch was not engaging properly. Changed them back to the short life span rolleyes Rover ones and sweet changes and smooth pull away returned.

I'm going to be slightly more ambitious. Will post more when completed.

So far biggest gripe is the f_ bonnet if it's not coming loose it looks like it's about to take off at any decent speed!
Apart from that it's hands down my fav car smile

Sorting the bonnet out now with a new one piece design in CF that looks like the existing two piece but is a one piece with
a mix of a bit Jag bonnet design thrown in as well to help improve cooling over the manifolds and general air intake.

Will still have the actuator driven flaps.

Seen a prototype and looks very nice. Should be great to see it in the flesh.

One piece will still lift? I strap mine down to the chassis, it is the only way to hold it down either on the autobahn or brunty.

Hi Paul

The design should be ok with it. It does attach to the chassis and attaches both front and back, so should be stable.

It's a modification on a design used before without any issues I'm aware of.

Cheers!

Yes, I certainly enjoy improving. 29 items on my list today, 9 of those still to be crossed off.

Having said that, there are a few things that should have been better in the first place, in priority order:

1. Air box deforming and cracking (if anyone has a spare please PM me!)
2. Misting up lights front and rear
3. Battery location
4. Enough cold air on the drivers side (another vent needed)

Then there is the list of stuff that works but could be better that I change on most TVR's:

1. Wipers
2. Washers
3. Dip beam brightness
4. Interior illumination
5. Wheel nuts
6. Tyre valve stems and caps
7. Steering wheel bolts

Then there are the mechanical adjustments to stop knocks, rattles etc. etc. plus improvements to the engine, suspension, followed by cosmetic upgrades for the interior and exterior, then............ perfection.

1. Air con/fan isn't powerful enough.
2. Washer/wipers are crap even with aero blades.
3. Fogging light lenses. (Being sorted)
4. Exhaust doesn't sound as good as my old t350 (ACT being fitted now)

The car drives great, stops great and handles brilliant. Also comfortable enough to drive a few days a week.

That's all I expect of it and it does the job perfectly well!
