Looking good Alex, I love the external carbon but not too keen on the steering pod or centre console, mainly because I prefer the softer feel of the leather. That said, great job smile

The binnacle is more or less the same as it was, just a few mm wider.

I understand the comment about the column surround however. It is now much... hasher. Some
colour co-ordination changes are also needed to make it go better with the steering wheel.

It is one of those areas I want to live with for a bit and then see how I feel with it.

I always look forward to your posts especially at the moment with all the carbon bling lick love the binnacle, clock surround and the airbox.... I'll have these if you go into production with them. Altho' iirc I think the airbox is done by someone else. Apologies if I'm repeating myself...regards wanting the products I'm not sure if you've answered my requests I've sort of been on and been off here sporadically over the summer

Hi Buzz, if you are going to Millbrook on Sunday visit the stand with my car on display and you should be able to order some of the CF stuff there or at least see what is possible. Not all of the stuff done for my car will be orderable, but things like the airbox, the sharks teeth/splitter, console surround and binnacle (possibly) will be. The binnacle may not be as it is a different spec from the normal one as I am working on using that to house the gear change LEDs concept that I first looked at 2+ years ago.

The steering surround CF also needs a few little tweaks till fully happy with it.

^^ As mentioned above, car will be on display Sunday as a demo'er to show the products designed and available.

The ones like the bonnet and side-bars will not be on offer as they were one-offs based on design ideas
that aren't going to be repeated. Although, the normal one-piece bonnet conversion certainly is.

Also...

If those who were interested in this thread...

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

...could still indicate if they are interested or not, would be most helpful.

I'm going to be working with a couple of folks to get it implemented in the next month or so. Unfortunately, Paul pulled out of the project
so I've had to source other electrics people to finish it off.

Although most of the modifications I wouldn't dream of doing to my own Sag if I had the money, I do really like that airbox.

Heh. I originally bought the Sag as I wanted to use it as a project car primarily, that and the fact it looked insane biggrin

I've bought cars to restore before then sold them on, but the Sag (and probably my Macros - once that is back up and working) is mostly
an ongoing project car for me.

Some will like the changes, some won't.
