Been following the two threads running about this car... Unlucky on the buyer if it's not a misunderstanding.

... Having said that, maybe they were made aware at point of sale. I don't recall the advert saying 'HPI clear' and just because it's not on HPI doesn't mean the history wasn't mentioned before a deal was struck...

What I'm interested in is how has this happened. I was always under the impression that write off history can never be removed. I thought in a cat-d you can get it auto-ligned and then the write off marker is removed off HPI and replaced with a "previous write off /Autolign VIC approval"
