Hi
I was a Burghley at the weekend and was on the lookout for any Griffs for sale, but my eyes kept rolling towards the Tamoras.I nearly bought one last year but I was struggling to get in it with the roof on lol.So I ended up buying a Chim which I found a lot easier to get in and out of.But in the last 12 months I have lost quite a bit of weight and was talking to a Tam owner and he let me sit in his car, found it so easy to get in and out,so im back on the Tamora hunt.So the Chim has to go.Would love to keep it,but the wife says 2 TVRs are enough as I have a Cerb aswell.
What are the bad bits to lookout for when I go viewing. What were the upgrades on the later cars.Any pointers would be welcome.
Cheers Mart

Interesting , do you find it much easier ti get in and out of a chim, I'm looking to sell my tamora because getting in and out makes my knee hurts.
I'm 6'2" and thick end of 20 stone,perhaps I should try a chim out!,
i found my tam is a bit tighter to get in and out than my griff, just seems the doors dont open enough as they hit the wiring loom. i would look to see if there was something you could do with the door opening so the doors stayed fully open when exitingI'm 6'2" and thick end of 20 stone, perhaps I should try a chim out!,
Exit is all about technique I'm 6ft 1" and 15 1/2st and find it pretty easy the get in and out of... My mate Barry Ashcroft Carries plenty of extra timber and he didn't have an issue. All tho' his knees are ok..and he's just gone back to a Westfield

Have seen them both when I was there looking for Tuscans, which I bought one
Both looked very good (bye) indeed, and it was a toss up between Tuscan or tam.... Tony seems a nice enough guy and a great setting. If you get to test drive them the road to and from his house will sort any ride issues and rattles out......

A couple of observations about the Grey car, it has a 03 mdl year front end (large spot lights) and a early 2001 rear end (black diffuser)
As i understand it the Tamora changed it exterior appearance slighty yearly from 2001 to 2004, as follows.
2001/early 02 = Black rear diffuser, black bonnet vents, small front fog lights.
2002 = Small front fogs, Colour coded bonnet vents and rear diffuser.
2003 = Larger front spots instead of fogs, colour coding, Black radiator opening.
2004 = On. As above, but colour coded Radiator opening.
This is how the cars left the factory, so of course some extra paint may have been applied in the past 10 years or so
Most peoples opinion is 2003 on, cars were probably better sorted, with most niggles ironed out and a better chance of a stronger engine.

Hi Mart
I think it was my car you sat in at Burghley. Its still for sale and close to where you are going to see the others at the weekend. Come and have a look at mine too.
