What are the costs involved, and, do you need any sort of a license or permit, like you do a drone?

Sag's are investments now mate, this is probably the last time you will see one on the road :P The stories in the Sag Forum must be amazing! What's the recommended trailer to have, so you can get your cars too and from services to keep the miles low :P

Typical cost is 400 Quid smile There are different Phantoms, most go for the Phantom 1 and then upgrade to a Gimble for another 100 Quid. You don't need a license for a Phantom, just be careful where you use it, for obvious reasons e.g. Public Areas and ask permission.\

Tony, thanks for the Prototype Sag Quiz on the last evening too smile

It helps that he's a good pilot. We have some cracking movies from him too smile He flew it over the lake, with me and a mate in a boat lol. He's been flying this type of stuff for 30 years, but you are right, he was a little nervous, so positioned it well away from trouble. It does take some practice though. It runs off a GPS so is pretty stable in the air and has gyro's and the 4 rotors means it's pretty agile. They have developed some new ones now, which are even more sophisticated.

£40/year public liability insurance is a good idea, typically a pre-requisit at most places to fly the drones. If you can afford £700+ for the drone & gimbal another £40 won't break the bank for piece of mind - unlike taking somebody out with the drone if it crashes!

Hi Paul

I have a few pictures of the Silver Sag. I must confess I am not a fan of stripes on cars but it certainly looks very, very good on the Silver Sag!!! Will try and figure out tonight how to upload pictures and fingers crossed.

I love that image of the two sags from the rear, they look like they are out to destroy anything that gets in there way, even with there standard Speed Six lumps. On the way down to LM I do remember one Ferrari owner getting absolutely destroyed by the TVR boys, all in good faith of course.

Watch this space for pictures if I can manage it!!!
