I had thois on my Tuscan. It was asimple fix of changing the brake switch. I say simple, it's fiddly in the footwell. You need to take the pedle cover off so you can access the switch.

Before you buy a new switch, just check the old one has not moved on its bracket (switch ends up actuated permanently) take the pedal plate off and have a look. Its a simple but fiddly job, where fingers the size of a child helps! I might have a spare somewhere you can have. Check if its knackered first and let me know.

Ok so I can't get the cover off as the bolt behind brake pedal refuses to move, I assume it's a case of keep trying til it loosens or until the Allen key rounds off the bolt recess, then I just have to pay for a garage to do it instead (as usual) censored happy days!,

Put the allan key piece in a long wobble bar and give it a whack with a hammer before trying to undo it, they can be sods to get off. If it rounds cut a slot in it and use a screw driver or a slightly oversized allen key bit
