What would be the most cost effective way of doing this? I'm currently blowing out 111.1 at about 4k revs. I have equal length manifolds, decat pipes and a JR back box.

I doubt that the back box is going to account for the 10 or more that I need to lose, so am I looking at investing in a set of sports cats at £375 or so from ACT?

I have some, but was thinking of something more permanent.

However - if they work that would be most cost effective (especially as I forgot that I had bough them - whoops!)

These look a decent solution which can be taken on and off quickly...

Put the original exhaust back on?
Or am I missing something here?

^^^^^^^^^^^^ What He Said ^^^^^^^^^^^^

Plus put cats back in, as you say you want it permanent

I had JP Sports exhaust and it did sound nice but after an hour my headaches and I tend to do a lot of driving in France so I put the standard exhaust back on and much better for me

That was the question really. Will the back box lose me enough dBs? I didn't think so, which I guess means cats, which allegedly means dropping some horsepower - and having a remap.

I think the answer is that there is no cheap way.
