Interiour retrim, how much is to much
Discussion
Thinking of having a interior retrim, Maybe just carpets (or if funds will stretch the full lot)just wondering what sort of costs should I expect to pay...
I have just got back in from a local upholsterer who as quoted me the following:
A: Full wilton carpet set leather bound £1300 :-( (boot carpets not inc.
B: Full int in leather excluding carpets & excluding costs for such as Autoglass to remove the windscreen & re install £3500 apr
I would imagine that having both done together may reduce the cost a little as I presume such as the seats & centre consul will have to come out for the carpets alone
Any thoughts with the above prices?
Any suggestions for a good upholsterer around York appreciated...
Thanks'

Price looks to be in line with others but there is quite a difference between a good re-trim and a cheap re-trim.
Have a look through this thread for inspiration and names of other companies with TVR experience.

There are a few (Dave the Trimmer, D&C Trim etc) who crop up a lot and there is a guy in Sunderland who has just done a very nice job on peteA 's Tamora towards the end of the thread. Good luck and let us know what colour / style you're thinking of

...just back from visiting my Griff at the Trim Technician (Poulton le Fylde, just outside Blackpool). They are about halfway through a full re trim for me. Quality of their stuff is superb, prices may be a tad cheaper than you've been quoted but a lot of it will be in the details (eg do you want your carpets trimmed with vinyl or leather? etc etc).
