I recently looked at a T350C. When the speedometer/instrument panel initialised it said it was a Tamora - do all T350s say that or is it safe to assume it's been fitted with a Tamora panel?
Thanks.

My T350 says this too - I hadn't really questioned it and just put it down to a TVR quirk I suppose. Anyone else?

All T350 show this message.
I believe only the Sagaris of the T-Cars range has a different software.

So no need to worry.

No, there is an updated software available for the T350.

After changing the micro controller, which is necessary for that, Paul Smith changed my Tamora software V6.1 into the T350 software (V1.5). The display shows than "T350" and "TVR Engineering Ltd".

This software still uses the bigger display numbers as the Tamora software, not the smaller of the Sagaris. The same settings can be made, however the night driving display additionally shows the water temperature and the oil temperature. This software has a sensor map for the later oil pressure sensor.

You can Switch several displays, the handbook calls one that way which is "very dark" without to many numbers and scales.

It won't be the panel as this is purely a display, It could of had the dash ECU replaced with a unit taken from a T350. Worth checking the milage is correct as this is also held on the dash ECU. There will also be a version number of the software used. I think mine is 6.2

Cheers Martin, didn't know that. Is that an aftermarket conversion from the Sagaris software or was that fitted from the factory for later T350s?

I'm kind of confused: What is the sensor map from the "later" oil pressure sender all about? All I know is that mine shows some strange numbers from time to time, espescially from cold. But then I know, that even new oil sensors on sp6 engines can show crap.

I was referring to T350 had the Tamora software from new. So nothing to worry for the OP.

i spoke to paul about software differences in my car as he did a mod to dash ecu to make the LS oil pressure read properly . he said there were a number of changes sometimes dependent on the sensors that were available at the time, so that sensors were not interchangeable. if you give him the software number he can tell you what is "inside" ...

That's it. The T350 software was made for later models, I assume all cars from 2003 should have the Tamora software. Best source for further informations is Paul Smith http://pselectronicsolutions.co.uk/repairs.html. I am not really familiar with the sensors and mappings.

I have also have dealt with Paul Smith as I have a very early Tamora (Dash ECU dated Jul 01), and throughout the "life" of the Tamora many changes took place; early master brake cylinders don't have a warning of low fluid; the change in "fog lights/driving lights" changed the way the switches operated (fogs on with side lights disappeared when they became driving lamps); early oil tanks had a "different" oil temp sensor etc. As the Tamora aged and the T350 appeared, many variations were necessary for the Dash ECU versions not just for sensor mapping.

Mr Smith offers a very reasonably priced service to repair/update and keep our cars on the road!!

I'm just a satisfied customer of his, as it appears quite a few others!!

Long live Tams/T350s???

Thank you for the info, Martin.
